Covid, cough, and cancer. I have been sick with COVID these last few days. I’m finally feeling a little better. I am quarantining in my bedroom and things are ok. I have my own bathroom and tv. I am pretty sure the rest of the house is a mess though. No one ever cleans up after themselves. I hope that this situation will help my kids become more independent.
I can still hear my husband cough when we speak on the phone. Everyone talks to me by phone, because my house is big and every room is so insulated that you cannot really speak to me otherwise. My husband has been staying in our guest suite. He seems to be doing ok, but has admitted that the house is a mess. I wonder in what state it will be in when I finally feel better.
We have home healthcare now. My husband’s doctor suggested it due to his ascites. So far so good. The doctors and nurses come by and bring him medicine, check up on how he is feeling. I hope they can figure out how to help him with his cough. He tested negative for COVID but his cough is worse than ever. I read that steroids can sometimes help. So far he hasn’t been filling back up with fluid. That is a good sign but the coughing is really distressing.
